Anoestrus
Anoestrus refers to the time in the ewe’s annual cycle when she is not ovulating. This time usually runs from after lambing. When the ewe has stopped producing milk, she has a short window to recover and to be able to ensure that she is fit and ready to enter oestrus when the Autumn comes.
There are many management tasks that take place during this time, this will be explained in the next chapter.
This is when the ewe’s cycle starts all over again!
